As a CHALC member, you have access to many valuable resources, including liability insurance for publicized activities, a directory of evaluators, HSLDA membership discount, CHALC graduation discount, and The Scrawls newsletter. Please take time to read the Member benefits page for a full list of benefits and the section "How do I sign up?" below. For your benefit, the CHALC membership application is now available online for you to print. "How do I sign up?" Support group leaders are responsible for registering their support groups with CHALC. Individuals receive their CHALC membership through a CHALC support group. If you would like your support group to become a member of CHALC, you must submit an application for membership. To guarantee that your support group members receive all 10 issues of The Scrawls we must have their address information by June 15. If you do not have a complete list of members by that time, submit what you have and as you receive new members into your support group, simply email their names and address information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Then mail the membership fees to CHALC, PO Box 480, Leola, PA 17540. CHALC support group membership fees for the 2010/2011 school year are $20 per family. A new CHALC database is compiled every year. Your support group must submit a new application every year, if we don't receive your application/membership list/membership fee your support group will no longer be considered a CHALC member support group and will be removed from the support group listing in the back of The Scrawls. Handwritten address lists are hard to read and may result in errors. Please email your membership address information in an Excel file to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Your group will NOT receive a refund or credit for any families that are removed from your group's membership list. Therefore, we would recommend that you do not submit the names of any families that have not paid you for their membership.
