Our goal is to create an area for homeschoolers everywhere to discuss issues related to home education and family life. We will allow our members freedom to discuss whatever issues they feel are helpful to their homeschooling lives! We will not block any topic or posts unless they are in violation of the rules below: In order to create an enjoyable experience for everyone, everyone must abide by these rules: Be nice. No nasty name-calling or gossip. In general, remember the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." That covers a lot of what's below. Be honest. Be sure what you post is true, and don't spread false information on purpose. Keep it clean. We will absolutely NOT allow any obscene language, pictures, comments, or anything. I'm pretty sure you can figure out what that means. Remember that we have minors here. Use of foul language is grounds for permanent expulsion from the boards. No "flaming;" don't post angry nasty messages intended to hurt others. Realize that there is a way to disagree peacefully. I know that it's much easier to say something nasty to someone in an email or a message board than it would be if you were talking to them face to face. Think before you spout off an emotional reply. This is not free advertising. For-profit organizations are not allowed to post advertisements in the forums. Please see the Scrawls page to publish an ad in our newsletter. Posting email forwards (such as virus warnings, little-known "news," jokes, warm-fuzzy stories, etc.) is absolutely NOT permitted. In addition, forwarding these type of emails to forum members without their permission is also NOT permitted. Any post not in compliance with the above rules will be removed. If a certain member becomes particularly troublesome, his bulletin board membership may be revoked. These boards are moderated; we will remove anything we decide is innappropriate. Please do not push the limits. Just remember that these are real people here, and don't get nasty. In addition, we ask that you follow these guidelines: Remember your English lessons. This isn't a big deal, but it really helps if you use proper spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and grammar. It reflects a whole lot better on your home education! Quote the original message. When you reply to a previous post, it helps if you paste the original message and enclose it in quotes or brackets with the original poster's screen name. Or, click "Quote" above the post you want to quote, and the message will be automatically quoted in a new post. Okay, after all of that, I want you to still go ahead and enjoy yourself here!
